Widgets in Configured Commerce

Describes how to use widgets to add content to pages without having to develop page elements in Optimizely Configured Commerce.

Widgets are pre-configured content holders in Optimizely Configured Commerce that allow ISC_Content user roles to add content to pages without having to develop page elements. Widgets can host contextual content, providing users with different views based on persona, language, and/or device type.

The following table describes all currently available out-of-the-box widgets.

Some pages with pre-defined content also contain widgets specific to the page content. These widgets are not listed here.

Breadcrumb4.2+Provides links back to the previous page, and displays the site navigation structure. Useful for users to retrace the path that led them to the active page.
Carousel4.2+Allows multiple content sections (usually images) to cycle or loop on a page.
Container4.2+Creates flexible page layouts with the four container widgets: one, two, three, and four column.
Currency Selector4.3.2+Displays selected currency with a symbol and on hover displays all currencies configured for the site. No configuration options.
Form - Contact Us4.2+Builds a contact us page with the widget's basic contact fields.
Form - Subscribe to Email List4.2+Creates the interface where site visitors can subscribe to a newsletter or email list.
Frequently Purchased4.4+Displays a list of frequently purchased products that can be quickly added to cart. Provides the following information: product image, product title, price, and default unit of measure- all of which are translatable. Products only display if they have been purchased more than twice in the past 3 months and up to 5 products will display in order of the number of times they have been purchased. If the Ship To has does not have any order history, the widget will automatically be hidden. Restricted or deactivated products will not display in the widget.
Image4.2+Places an image in a content holder.
Invoice History4.3.1+If the user is authenticated, displays up to five of the most recent invoices for the customer Bill To. This widget is hidden from the page if the user is not authenticated, or if the customer Bill To has no invoices.
Item Link4.2+Creates a hyperlink or image link to one page on the site.
Item List4.2+Allows the creation of list-based navigation by selecting a parent or root page. Dynamically generates a list of all child pages, and contains any existing page descriptions.
Language Selector4.3.2+Displays current language with a flag and on hover displays all languages configured for the site. No configuration options.
Link List4.2+Allows the creation of a horizontal or vertical menu with any number of pages.
Lists4.4.4+If the user is authenticated, displays up to five of the user's lists. This widget is hidden from the page if the user is not authenticated, or if the user/customer has no lists.
Navigation List4.2+Dynamically creates a menu showing the child pages for a defined parent/root page. Widget updates automatically as new pages are made.
News List View4.3.1+Displays a list of up to five news pages, ordered by date (most recent first).
Order Confirmation View4.2+Creates a custom order confirmation page with dynamic order confirmation logic and a static content holder to hold unique content.
Order History4.3.1+If the user is authenticated, displays up to five of the most recent orders for the customer Bill To.? This widget is hidden from the page if the user is not authenticated, or if the customer Bill To has no orders.
Page Title4.2+Dynamically creates a page title based on the title the page was given when created. Updates automatically if the page title is changed.
Product Carousel4.4.4+This widget can be configured to display products in a variety ways through the use of Carousel Types: Customers Also Purchased, Recently Viewed, Related Products, Top Sellers and Web Cross Sells. Each of these Carousel Types can then be further customized to control the number of products to display, which product data to display, as well as other details. For more information, see Product Carousel Widget.
Quick Order4.2+Search for products and add them directly to the cart.
Recently Purchased4.3.1+If the user is authenticated, displays up to five of the user's most recently purchased items. If more than five products were purchased recently, the widget displays items based on quantity ordered. If a product cannot be purchased, it is not displayed. This widget is hidden from the page if the user is not authenticated.
Recently Viewed4.4+This widget is available for the Product Detail page and the Cart page. It allows users to go back to a previously viewed product after having navigated to another product's Product Detail page. Only one instance of a product will display in the widget. Signed-in users will see their recently viewed products show up if they sign-in on a different browser or device. For set up and additional information, review the Configuring the Recently Viewed Widget article. This widget also provides a simplified view that only displays the product image, product title, product number and manufacturer item, via the Recently Viewed - Simplified setting. Due to the creation of the Product Carousel widget in version 4.4.4, this widget has been deprecated. If this widget currently exists on a website, it will remain active, but cannot be re-added if removed. See the Recently Viewed Widget article.
Related Products4.4+Displays products that have a specific relationship to other products via cross sells, accessories, and so on. A related product will not display if it cannot be purchased due to restriction groups, out of inventory, and so on. There is also an available Title field to customize the name of the displayed widget. This widget is automatically added to all Product Detail pages for new websites. Due to the creation of the Product Carousel widget in version 4.4.4, this widget has been deprecated. If this widget currently exists on a website, it will remain active, but cannot be re-added if removed.
Rich Content4.2+Allows the addition of images, text, links, lists, and many other elements to a page. Use a WYSIWYG editor or HTML to create content.
Web Cross Sells4.2+Displays any products designated as Web Cross Sells in the Admin Console. Due to the creation of the Product Carousel widget in version 4.4.4, this widget has been deprecated. If this widget currently exists on a website, it will remain active, but cannot be re-added if removed.
Wishlists4.3.1+If the user is authenticated, displays up to five of the user's wishlists. This widget is hidden from the page if the user is not authenticated, or if the user/customer has no wishlists. (Deprecated 4.4.4)
