Security for email templates

Describes where to find email templates in Optimizely Configured Commerce to communicate with the users when their passwords have changed, been reset, their account has been activated, and so on.

There are a number of email templates available that are tied to user security. They communicate with the users when their passwords have changed, been reset, their account has been activated, and so on. These email templates can be customized just like any other email template and can be targeted to specific website to allow for unique messaging or branding.

Note

The email templates may not be exposed in the Admin Console until after a template has been used for the first time. However, starting with 4.3, the email templates are automatically available upon the start up of a new Configured Commerce instance.

The following security related email templates are located within Admin Console > Marketing > Communication > Email Templates:

  • Admin_AccountActivation
  • Admin_ResetPassword
  • ForgotPassword
  • Storefront_AccountActivation
  • Storefront_ResetPassword
