Assign attributes to categories

Attributes are assigned to Categories of Products that may share similar properties across all products in Optimizely Configured Commerce. For example, a Category of Goggles may share Attributes such as Lens Type, Size, and Gender. To assign Attributes to a Category, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Admin Console > Catalog > Categories.

2. Click Edit on the desired Category to assign the Attribute.

   Note

   It may be necessary to expand the Parent Category to show the Child Categories, if a child is the desired Attribute target.

3. Select the Attributes finger tab.

4. Click Add Category Attribute.

5. Select the Attribute Type from the drop down.

6. Ensure the Active toggle state displays Yes.

7. Enter the appropriate Sort Order number.

8. Click Save.
