Manage multiple content versions

Optimizely Commerce Connect handles content versioning in a similar manner to Optimizely CMS, but important differences exist.

• Multiple language support – In Commerce Connect 15, the system does not automatically create versions for all languages. If no version exists for the current language, the system uses the fallback language version. If the fallback language also lacks a version, the system defaults to the master language version. As in Optimizely CMS, you must translate the content before you can add a language-specific version.
• Manage content versions during import – See Import and export a catalog.
• Determine the number of versions saved – By configuration, the UIMaxVersions attribute defines the maximum number of page versions that Optimizely retains. Use a scheduled job to eliminate old catalog versions.
