Integrate Qualaroo
Describes how to integrate Qualaroo with Optimizely Web Experimentation.
Note
See Optimizely's Third-Party Add-Ons & Platform Integration Terms.
Qualaroo lets you collect and act on visitor insights to improve website performance. Qualaroo uses on-site surveys to collect customer feedback that you can use to increase conversion rates.
You have two options for integrating Qualaroo with Optimizely:
- Target a Qualaroo survey to a specific variation to get qualitative feedback about the user experience and use those insights to inform future Optimizely experiments.
- Use Optimizely to test different Qualaroo survey variations against each other.
Note
Qualaroo describes the Optimizely-Qualaroo integration on their website. For information about targeting surveys based on Optimizely variations, see Qualaroo’s article on how to use Optimizely and Qualaroo together.
Target a Qualaroo survey to an Optimizely variation
With this integration, you can target a Qualaroo survey to visitors who saw a variation.
Suppose you created a variation with substantial changes to your pricing page. With your Optimizely experiment, you can measure the impact of these changes on key conversion rates. A Qualaroo survey that collects specific visitor feedback for a particular variation can help you understand why one variation performed better or worse. Even in variations with an overall lift in conversion rates, this qualitative feedback may indicate ways to further improve the existing variation. You can test these further changes in Optimizely for more conversions.
Note
This integration requires an Enterprise-level Qualaroo plan.
- Go to your experiment > API Names and identify the variation names and experiment ID for what you want to target.
- Go to Qualaroo’s survey configuration and enter the experiment ID and the names (comma-separated) of the variations for the desired survey.
A/B test Qualaroo surveys
You can also use Optimizely Web Experimentation to test variations of a Qualaroo survey against each other. Through such an experiment, you can determine which wording and order of survey questions generate the highest quality and frequency of responses.
- Create an experiment in Optimizely Web Experimentation with two or more variations. Do not make any changes to these variations in the Visual Editor.
- Go to Qualaroo and configure two surveys on the same page. Using the procedure described in the previous integration option, target each to a different variation.
Optimizely Web Experimentation randomly buckets users into the survey variations. Wait for enough data and analyze the number and quality of responses that each version of the survey received.
