Describes how to get started using the Optimizely Experimentation REST API for your Web Experimentation project.
Optimizely Web Experimentation's REST API lets you create and manage Optimizely Web Experimentation projects and experiments and analyze results from other applications.
For example, Optimizely solutions and technology partners use the REST API to:
- Create Optimizely Web Experimentation audiences based on information collected from your Data Management Platform.
- Manage Optimizely Web Experimentation projects from an internal system.
- Pull results data into an internal dashboard or results widget.
- Send email alerts when specific results are achieved.
Generate an API token
To use the Optimizely Web Experimentation REST API, you must authenticate by generating an API token. See Manage your API tokens.
Available endpoints
Note
Not all Optimizely API endpoints are available for Optimizely Web Experimentation. You can use the Optimizely API for other types of Experimentation projects, such as Feature Experimentation and Full Stack (legacy).
