Set search result types

📘

Note

This topic is for Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) administrators, and developers with administration access rights.

Go to Settings > Tools > Search Configuration to set the search providers for your site. This configuration allows you to change the type of results the CMS global search bar returns. (For CMS 11, go to Admin > Config > Tool Settings > Search Configuration.)

CMS uses Optimizely Graph as its default internal search engine, which lets you access the following default providers. You can turn off a provider to exempt it from a search. Relevant search results are moved when appropriate.

  • Block provider – searches for CMS blocks
  • File provider – searches for CMS documents
  • Page provider – searches for CMS pages (including page content)
  • Jump to – return menu items that IMenuProvider defined
