The client calls the Optimizely Recommendations API which, primarily, returns product recommendations or content.

  1. The client sends the API a request containing information about the user and the order.

  2. The Recommendations API returns a list of recommended products.

You can show recommendations on a call-center screen, a till/terminal in a shop, an email receipt, a printed receipt (such as being included in the order packaging), and so on.
