Warehouses and inventories

A warehouse is the physical place with an address from which product items can be shipped. Optimizely Commerce Connect includes the option to add and track a list of inventory locations within the system. When creating a new product variant (SKU), specify the item's warehouse and inventory information.

Commerce Connect has support for multiple inventory locations  (previously labeled warehouses). The warehouse label is kept to be consistent with the past, but the current definition is that a warehouse is any place that contains an inventory that you can track, whether it is a warehouse used for shipping, individual stores, a factory, or whatever is required for monitoring available items. You can even include trucks that are delivering orders.
