Create Deliveries

A Delivery is a server-side configuration that defines the content and logic for a recommendation widget. It connects your content Sections to the widget on your site. Each Delivery has a unique API Key that you will use in your widget's HTML.

Steps to Create a Widget Delivery

1. Navigate to Deliveries: Go to the Deliveries page in the Content Recommendations dashboard.
2. Create Delivery: Click the Create Delivery button.
3. Choose Application: Select the Widget option listed under the Web section.
4. Configure Delivery Widget:
   • Enter a Title: Provide a descriptive title for your widget delivery.
   • Personalised Content Sections: Assign the content Section(s) that will be used to show personalized content to users.
   • Unpersonalised Content Sections: Assign fallback Section(s) for general content when personalization is not possible (e.g., for a new visitor).
   • Approval State: Select the required approval status for the content (e.g., only show "approved" content).
   • Published: Filters content by age (e.g., only show content published in the last 90 days).
   • Click Tracking: Send clicks through our redirect service for tracking. Useful when you can't embed our tracking script on the destination page.
5. Save: Click Save to create the widget delivery.

After saving, the system will generate a unique Delivery Key (also referred to as an API key). You will need this key to install the widget on your website.
